I am sooooo excited!
Tony and I went to Disneyland for our late Honeymoon back in January. Now originally we had agreed that we weren’t going to do any big family trips until our kids could actually have fun and remember them.
But while we were strolling around Disney, we sighed at all the little toddlers we saw and kept thinking how Riley would react to this and that. Wondering how she would like the characters or even meeting Moana. We ended up finding out that if they’re under 3 years old, they’re free for admission, then on top of that we already know that she is free to fly under 2 as a lap child. So we sparked an idea totally against our plans and thought why not do one trip where she is absolutely FREE.
We will be gone for one week but in Disney for 5 full days. We also plan to be taking part in Mickey’s Not Do Scary Halloween Party on Halloween!
I just ordered a couple coloring books, sticker books, and even a box of glow sticks for amusement. I am preparing my iPad to be kid friendly and equipped with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Moana, and Sing for the plane. I’ve preordered our Mickey ears and lanyard’s from Etsy, and have bought Riley some warmer clothes.
I’m super excited to go on the smaller rides that I went on when I was little because we skipped most of them when we went in January. I also have a huge fear that she is going to be afraid of the Disney Characters, but I really hope she at least warms up to Pluto, Mickey, and Minnie since they’re her current favorite.
I also went out and bought a Boo inspired costume for Riley for Halloween. We figured she is the perfect size right now and it is super low cost. We literally spent $10. $5 for an over sized t shirt that she will be able to wear until age 4 or 5, and then $5 on a pair of leggings. We let her try them on when we got home today and she loves it. My husband also bought her a little mikey toy from the movie and oh my goodness you guys, she is attached to him like the hip. He now sleeps with her and goes with us to stroller strides. Such a funky toy to love but it also seems so her haha!
Her Godmother also made her some of the cutest little clothes! She has a Lilo dress, It’s a Small World top, and a baby Moana shirt! I cannot wait to take pictures of her all over Disney!
I’ve started making a basic itinerary, and creating piles of stuff to come along with us.
But I want to know, what are some of your best vacation/disney vacation tips?
I’ve also been debating on doing a little Vlog of the trip since it’s such a big occasion, is that something you’d like to see?
Also, I gotta show you the before picture because it cracks me up. When I envisioned this blog post, I thought of a picture perfect image of Riley sitting in my suitcase with all this Disney Stuff. Well, I didn’t have time to get to my better camera and when I placed her inside, she was not amused haha! I took a couple pictures before jumping in myself so that she would stop crying. #photofail
