Welcome Baby Gemma!

Remember Amanda and Jeremy from their maternity session a couple months ago? I was so excited to get an email asking if I could do some newborn family photos with their precious little Gemma the day they were actually going in to have her!

It was something I haven’t done before but I quickly fell in love with and I’m so thankful they gave me that chance to work with them on this.

While at the time of the session, Gemma was no longer technically Fresh 48, but we treated it the same. We spent the time one morning taking pictures in their living room, kitchen and in her nursery.

I kept thinking back to when Riley was born and how afraid I was to move her and holder that I was too scared back then to take photos like this. It is probably one of my biggest regrets from her newborn days. But having that regret makes me know how special this time is and what these photos are going to mean to them as time goes on. These will be the photos they look back and and remember how small she was and think about how far they’ve come through their parenting journey.

They’re going to remember those peaceful moments when she takes that snooze and those cries she does when she is ready for some close parent time. She was so precious every time she cried and got brought closer to their chests, she would just instantly calm. It’s just amazing to see how strong a connection between a newborn and their parent can be. She was amazing to watch how alert and interested she was in what we were doing.

Enjoy all these lovely newborn moments with this wonderful family ❤
