When I launched my website, I ran a raffle for a free mini session. Well it is finally done! I was so happy to see one of my first stroller stride mama friends win the session for her family. I had about 25 entries between all the shares, comments, and people joining my email list and I am just so thankful to have been able to finally get to this point after dreaming about it for so long.
It took us a little while trying to decide whether or not we wanted to do a beach or garden session until her husband asked about the possibility of a backyard session. Growing up his family collected trains and eventually he inherited all of them. If you were to visit their home, you would see all these beautiful trains on display around their house. He even built a train track in the backyard complete with little tunnels, a pond, and stations. It is the coolest thing I think I have ever seen in a backyard. So it was settled, backyard train station session it is!
The more kids you have the harder it can be to get them all looking at the camera, but you know, sometimes the best pictures come out of play. I think one of my favorite pictures of this session is when I told the kids to play ring-around-the-rosie while the parents just looked at them and smiled. Another favorite is watching their youngest show me all the trains and naming them one by one.
I have never done a backyard session before this, and now I truly hope it wasn’t the last. They were all just amazing to work with and play with.
